Concentrations in Political Science
To help you choose which courses to take in our undergraduate curriculum, the Department has identified six concentrations (substantive areas of interest) in Political Science. The concentrations are intended to help you identify courses that are likely to satisfy your interests and career plans. These concentrations will not be listed on your transcript (though you are welcome to list your concentration on your resume’), and there is no minimum number of courses required for you to participate in a concentration. Not all of these courses will be offered in any given semester. Note that if you have a particular area of interest not represented among those below (for example, public opinion polling and statistical analysis), you can create such a concentration by consulting with the department’s academic advisors and relevant members of the faculty.Political Science courses can be grouped into the following concentrations:
