Junyoung Kim is a PhD student in political philosophy, focusing on modern and contemporary political thought. He earned bachelor’s degree in theology and political science & diplomacy and master’s degree in political science from Yonsei University. His research focused on radical transformation and moral constraints in democratic theory. Currently, he is interested in the relationship between religion and politics, and political ethics within the context of Cold War liberalism. He seeks to explore robust and resilient understandings of freedom, authority, and resistance in liberal democratic theory, and thereby draw practical implications into constitutional reform.
