Payton Goodman is a senior majoring in Political Science with a Gender Studies minor and a Political and Civic Engagement certificate. She is currently applying to doctoral programs for Political Science or Government. In the future, she hopes to work in the federal government, preferably with the Supreme Court in some capacity, before returning to academia for research. Her research interests include comparative political systems, the politics of gender and race, and voting and election data. IPAW is an amazing opportunity to gain the methodological and quantitative skills necessary to succeed as a social scientist. This opportunity is often unavailable to undergraduates, making IPAW a unique and rare program for those interested in scientific research.
