Research & Centers
The Department of Political Science occupies Woodburn Hall, which is home to the Interdepartmental Laboratory for Experimental Research and the new Social Science Research Commons. Together the offer state-of-the-art facilities for research and training in the use of qualitative and quantitative methods to answer theoretically interesting questions about the political behavior of individuals, groups, organizations and institutions.
The development of specific research programs often occurs in centers, institutes and programs that unite scholars with common intellectual concerns, even though they are from different disciplines. Some of this research appears in Perspectives on Politics, one of the leading journals in political science. Perspectives on Politics is hosted by Indiana University Bloomington, and resides in Woodburn Hall.
