Scott was born and raised in South Colton, NY. He graduated summa cum laude from SUNY Potsdam with a BA in International Studies, Economics, and Political Science. After graduating, he completed a writer internship with The Borgen Project, publishing multiple articles around the topics of poverty and foreign affairs. He then transitioned into a role as an AmeriCorps Member for the Liberty Partnerships Program in Rochester, NY where he served as a tutor and mentor for students in the
Rochester City School District. As a first-year PhD student, he is interested in delving into network theory within the realm of international political economy. In his free time, Scott enjoys reading nonfiction and staying active by going to the gym, hiking, and playing basketball.
