Harold Chambers specializes in comparative politics and IR, researching the intersection of power, identity, and violence in Central Eurasia and Southeast Asia. Before coming to Bloomington, Harold studied Russian language and culture at Williams College before pursuing an Erasmus Mundus International Masters on Central Eurasian Studies in Estonia, Scotland, and Georgia. Harold has also been working as a freelance analyst, focusing on the political and security dynamics of the North Caucasus, particularly in the context of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. When not working, he is probably in the library finding fascinating books that he really intends to read next.
