About Britt Koehnlein

Curriculum Vitae

Britt Koehnlein earned a B.A. in French and Religious Studies from Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis and an M.A. in Political Science from Ball State University. Her research focuses on sub-Saharan Africa and her research interests include transitional leadership, clientelism, democratization, political violence, and issues surrounding women’s and human rights. She presented her master thesis at the 75th annual Midwest Political Science Association Conference entitled, “When Do Political Leaders Purge? An Examination of Elite Political Purging in sub-Saharan Africa.” She is fluent in French and German and is an avid world traveler.
