Aurelian Craiutu’s new book, Why Not Moderation? Letters to Young Radicals was released by Cambridge University Press in October 2023. It was the subject of a spirited conversation between the author and Professor Jeffrey Isaac at Morgenstern’s Book in Bloomington on November 3.

Moderation is often presented as a simple virtue for lukewarm and indecisive minds, searching for a fuzzy center between the extremes. Not surprisingly, many politicians do not want to be labelled 'moderates' for fear of losing elections.
