IU has a contract with Washington Intern Student Housing (WISH), an established, family-owned D.C. agency that provides housing for DC interns from across the country. Students come from Ohio State University, the University of North Carolina, University of Delaware, the SUNY system, to name a few of WISH’s client schools.

WISH is an excellent housing agency, committed to your safety and comfort. To keep costs low, keep our students together, and give you that amazing Capitol Hill experience, we provide housing for you in one of two charming, historic townhouses on Capitol Hill, two blocks from the Senate and a block from the Supreme Court. You do need to apply separately to WISH so they can send you a housing contract which you need to sign. Your total housing bill for either 2026 semester will be $5,650 (which includes a $400 nonrefundable processing fee), and will be billed to you via your IU Bursar bill.
