Chinbo Chong wins APSA's Race and Ethnic Politics 2020 Best Paper

Wednesday, July 14, 2021

Chinbo Chong

Chinbo Chong, Political Science CRRES Post-Doc along with co-author Tanika Raychaudhuri, has won APSA’s Race and Ethnic Politics Best Paper Award of 2020 for their paper entitled “Group-based belief systems about the racial order: Racial stereotypes and Asian American partisan identification”. This is a terrific recognition for her timely and important work.

The award committee had to say about the paper: “Congratulations! We wish to convey that the entire committee was very excited by the innovative project you are developing to decompose Asian American group identity. The question is important, the theory is impressive in its cohesion and intuitiveness, and the experimental design is sound. We can't wait to see the results, and to support you in your efforts to develop it further!”
