We are pleased to welcome the seven members of our new Board of Advisors (BoA): Lori Poloni-Staudinger (Ph.D, IU), Dean, College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, University of Arizona; Morgan Mohr (BA, IU), College (Distinguished Alumni of the Year 2023 and former Senior Advisor to the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs; Katie Wall (BA, IU), Director of Government Affairs, True Anomaly, Washington DC; Darrell West (Ph.D., IU, Brookings Institute, Washington DC; Matt Streb (Ph.D., IU, Chief of staff to the President and Professor of Political Science, Northern Illinois University; Jim Trilling (BA, IU), Division of Privacy and Identity Protection at Federal Trade Commission, Washington DC; and Barry Zulauf (BA and Ph.D., IU, Vienna, VA).
The new Board of Advisors will serve as an advisory group of committed alumni interested in helping us strengthen what is one of the oldest departments of political science in the country Meeting at regular intervals in person or via zoom and lending their expertise throughout the entire calendar year, the members of this body are accomplished individuals who will work with our faculty to advance and strengthen the goals of the Department of Political Science. They would also help us address present challenges and plan for the future. The Board will act as a vital bridge between students, faculty, alumni and friends of our department, and between the university and the wider world. Some of the Board of Advisors’ members may also take a special interest in mentoring alumni interested in pursuing careers in politics, business, media, or NGOS.
