Course Description

Political scientists often divide countries into categories: democratic, authoritarian hybrid. Yet across the globe, citizens engage in very similar types of political activity from discussions on social media to voting and protest. This class will explore how participation varies across countries and consider the ways in which citizens work together and interact with their governments to achieve shared political goals.
