Claire Wendt is first year political science graduate student and Hoosier native from Zionsville, Indiana. She graduated from DePaul University’s Honors Program with a major in Spanish and minors in international politics and intercultural communication. While completing her undergraduate studies, she spent two semesters abroad in Barcelona, Spain and Dubrovnik, Croatia. After graduation, she moved to Lorca, Spain where she worked as an English teaching assistant helping secondary and adult students improve their language skills. Both her time abroad and studies at DePaul shaped her research interests on how emotions and political violence shape cultural memory. In her free time, Claire enjoys traveling, running, and watching college basketball and Premier League soccer.
